People give shit about the 400 Ferraris. They are glorious.

I like! That’s the model previous to the 612, right?

I’d take one of those over almost any other Ferrari.

I see nothing wrong with this.

V12, front engine, rear wheel drive, Ferrari. You bet your ass :D

There is nothing wrong with that :)
Since it has the same automatic transmission as the Chevy Suburban of the time, an LS swap is easy

Yeah, I think they were the 400I. But you could get a 5 speed. Probably soucred from a Daytona, AKA don’t shift into second.

And I don’t. Looks like a Bitter crossed with an 80s Toronado, or whatever Olds was building as a 2 door at the time. Take out the engine, crush the rest. And didn’t this use a Chrysler transmission or something similar?

Yeah the 5-speed was available, but almost all of thm were automatics, so in that way, the 400i was actually ahead of its time. Because now they only come in automatic!

Attached to a steering wheel that only 7 year olds with iPhones understand.

Those G body Malibus are underrated. Good blank canvas for a project.

I like them, they are better in person and the interior is nice. I would like them even more with an engine swap, like whatever is in that Maserati GT. The engines are awful and insanely expensive to try and maintain.

Engine swap for sure, I sat in one once and it has some charm. I think when the Daft Punk video with one in it came out Spiegel had a hard on for one. If you are good with engine swaps you can find these pretty cheap due to maintenance. I would find a rear end wrecked Maserati GT or Quatrodoor and get that exhaust note.

I would absolutely have a 400. Preferably with the rare manual 5-speed, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t drive an auto if the price was right.

Buy one, then get back to me in a year. If you can afford the phone call. Because old Ferrari.

I like these too. But half of them are rubbish as they sold really well with (GM’s TH400) automatic transmissions.

So twice a year ... might be OK.
